Making this for a RP I joined mainly bc my character, and possible future characters may have abilities that can cause certain effects. status effects are things that linger in a battle, in a way similar to Pokemon status effects. the ones i've got so far are: paralysis, poison, wither, strengthen, and sleep. physical effects: paralysis - your character can feel themselves slowed either mentally, physically, or both. poison - it feels like a constant nausea wither - it can come up in multiple ways, leaving unhealing scars after the effect ends, or making it feel like a. intense burn across the entire body. or like a sickness. strengthen - they feel a burst of energy, and/or a surge of strength. sleep - they feel drowsy and it becomes harder to think and move, to a larger extent than paralysis. healing - the target feels warmth over them, in a nice hug that also seems to invigorate them. Battle effects (rank 0): paralysis: effect - decreases the affected targets agility by 2 duration - lasts 8 total comments: 4 from each rper poison: effect - decrease the targets defence by 2 duration - lasts 8 total comments: 4 from each rper strengthen: effect - increase targets strength stat by 2 duration - lasts 6 total comments: 3 from each rper sleep: effect - decrease targets speed and defence by 2 duration - lasts 4 total comments: 2 from each rper wither: effect - the affected targets must roll equal to or higher than their defence. if failed: take 1 damage duration - lasts 10 total comments: 5 from each rper heal: effect - heal a target by their (the targets) defence stat. it caps at the targets max health (aka if their health is 10 then they can't heal anything above 10) duration - last 2 total comment: 1 from each rper Rules w/ status: 1 - If a character's ability would involve inflicting status, they must roll their strength, and it MUST beat the opponent's defence (meaning it must be higher). 2 - a character can only be affected by 1 status effect at a time, and before another can be inflicted, the first must wear off. 3 - every stat has an unchanging way of leveling up. they go with the ranks, so only when your character ranks up can the status effect get stronger. Status rank ups: paralysis: rank 0 - decrease speed by 2 rank 1 - decrease speed by 3 rank 2 - rank 3 - rank 4 - rank 5 - poison: rank 0 - decrease defence by 2 rank 1 - decrease defence by 3 rank 2 - rank 3 - rank 4 - rank 5 - strengthen: rank 0 - increase strength stat by 2 rank 1 - increase strength stat by 4 rank 2 - rank 3 - rank 4 - rank 5 - sleep: rank 0 - decrease speed and defence by 1 rank 1 - decrease speed and defence by 2 rank 2 - rank 3 - rank 4 - rank 5 - wither: rank 0 - decrease lp by 1 rank 1 - decrease lp by 2 rank 2 - rank 3 - rank 4 - rank 5 - healing: rank 0 - increase target's heal by their defence stat +0 rank 1 - increase targets health by their defence stat +2 rank 2 - rank 3 - rank 4 - rank 5 -
