Hiii! Welcome to or Welcome back to another Project! Warning this is EXTREMELY LONG for the sake of your sanity don't read it all! This project is a little different! Basically for as long as I can remember I have always loved horses, and today is the day that I am finally going to write my parents a letter, to show how dedicated I am I have first made this project for you all to enjoy, I will then HAND WRITE this letter and add decorations like drawings to prove how dedicated I am. I will also start practicing my singing and hang out with my dogs as much as possible before they realize I am ready! Ok here is how the letter layout will go, each section will have 1/2- 1 whole page depending on how important that stuff all is. {Contents} ||Why I want a horse || ||Why I should get one || ||Prices || ||How I will make money for it || ||How I will get there || ||What I will do with it || ||Where I will keep it || ||About my dream horse || (please note, this is a research project and answers are not 100%) I am making this now because my dad lives in another city (my parents are not divorced) part-time and comes back between Thursday - Sunday for a new job he has, so I am going to give it to them when they are both here! Here is the letter, enjoy! <33 Dear Mom and Dad, I know I know, I ask this question All. The. Time. but this time I want to actually PROVE that I am ready to get a horse, I know this is a huge responsibility and I'm ready, i've been ready for years now and I want you guys to see that I am ready. So I put together this hand written letter, It took me weeks to plan out on a Google document and then like 1/2 an hour to make it on paper! So as you can tell, this means a lot to me! Now on to the point, I really want a horse because seeing everyone be able to hop on a horse and tack them up and ride without needing to ask makes me feel left out, I am trying to get comfortable enough to ask (name of owner of barn) if there is any horses I can ride in the winter, but there aren't many options! They are either lesson horses, or western horses! (that kinda rhymed) But I want a horse that I can have just as good a bond with as I do with Louie, but he's the worst to ride in the arena and I don't want to risk falling off. I've always wanted to get a horse... for years now and I know, I probably bother you guys so much but doesn't that show how each day I am just building up more of a need to get one, more of a dedication and love for them? I know you don't want me to get a horse then suddenly grow out of riding. But this is not a phase, this is my life! I know I should take care of the animals I do have more before adding a new member to the family, but I promise from now on I'll help around the house and start playing with Manny and cleaning up after Roma and hanging out with her too! Research has proven that horses have many positive impacts on people! Such as an increase in confidence (something that I need, lol), lower stress levels and an increase in caloric output (the amount of calories that someone takes in and puts out) Now, the boring part, the part that keeps people up at night; prices. I don't know the exact prices for everything but I know the estimated prices that it makes sense for it to be! In (the state that I live in), it costs on average $10,323 per year to own a horse! Read on to find out all the ways I am planning on making money for it! <33 As you may know, I am planning to make my own music, write some books and make Heart and Hoof magazine! Those are all the ways I plan on making money for the horse! Another thing that is important to factor in when deciding about getting a horse is transportation! Don't worry I got you, I have a plan. I will obviously see if there are any buses that go from my school to the barn, I will carpool with friends every now and then and I will ride my bike there in the nicer weather! I know you guys don't like always driving me back and forth but sometimes you might need to... cont in notes +creds!
Now you may be wondering what I plan to do with it when/if I get one! Here are some things that I wish to accomplish with my future horse! I would do show jumping and cross country, I would do dressage. When I get to the barn I would first feed my horse, while it's eating I would do the paddock, set up water and hang hay nets. Then I would clean the stall after I put him/her in the paddock, I would set up grain and leave it outside of the stall, then I would clean the stall and fill the water and give fresh hay. Then I would groom the horse after bringing it in from the paddock. I would tack up and then I would ride for a bit. Then I would cool the horse off and then I would untack, groom and turn out! I would do that everyday! I would try to see if I could keep it at (name of barn I volunteer/ride at), if not I would board at (another barn near me). About my dream horse: Name: In the Nick of Time 'Birdie' Gender: Gelding Breed: Norwegian Fjord horse Age: 7-12 Height: 14-15 hands high Disciplines: -Show jumping -Cross country If there is anything else I will let you know! Love your daughter, (my name)
