WELCOME, ONE AND ALL TO: RESULTS: 3D JAM 2024 Unfortunately, we had a few contestants drop out, so the amount of people competing dropped to just three. On the bright side, each of these entries were really amazing, and will each be receiving a special award! The whole competition was close, I had to decide now or never. This is it folks, results night! OVERALL PLACEMENT Coming in third, a project that I think has had a lot of effort put into it, and will win a very special award: TACTICAL TUMPER, BY THUMPERPLAYER1 AND BAMBIPLAYER2 This game offers a lot of features for the players to do, like shooting, sprinting, and shooting lasers! This game fits the theme because, well, you can't really do anything! I think that's what's great about this game, it fits the theme almost perfectly. It has a lot of potential to be a full game with many levels and features, but, it's unfinished! This game won third place in my opinion, because I feel that the other contestants did a little bit more with the theme Secondly, we have an unfinished engine by a 3D coder who finished his entry before it was due (which really sells it for me), which is simply called: ENTRY, BY DRAGONSNAKE003 This game got second because I feel like a little more thought went into fitting the theme. First off, the game was finished early, which is part of an unfinished 3D. Secondly, the game mentions that there were enemies in the game that you had to kill, but also says that the game is still in development, and that the enemies hadn't been added yet! I just found this really fun Finally, last but not least, the first place entry goes to: CARS, BY SPEEDSPOT I feel like this game fits the theme the most while still being an actual game. Its a racing game where you race against a really bad racing AI that's also really slow. This game is exactly what I imagined a first place entry to be! Good Job SpeedSpot! SPECIAL AWARDS I will now be going into the special awards for each project, the first one being: THE EXTRA THEME AWARD When I first started the jam, I said that the jam was not Christmas themed, but with a rushed, unfinished game that you are making for a game jam, you are most likely going to disregard most of the stuff I said in the description on the 3D Jam project. This is what happened with Tactical Tumper. This game was very Christmas themed, with almost all of it's elements being based around Christmas time! The second extra award is: THE GLITCH AWARD In an unfinished 3D game, there are glitches around every corner. It's what makes a 3D game on Scratch, 3D! There were a lot of glitches in SpeedSpot's Cars game, which is why it won this award! Lastly, we have: THE HASTY AWARD In any game jam, you are going to be trying to finish your game as fast as possible. This is what happened with Dragonsnake's Entry, he was the first one to finish! This was even partly the reason why he was selected to be second place in the first place! Thank you everyone for competing in my first ever 3D Game Jam! I hope you all had a great time creating your projects! If you wanted, You could use the ribbons that I made inside this project on your projects to show all of your followers how well you did in this game jam! As I always say, SCRATCH ON! -TheNotableMan
