⟡ welcome! hey everyone, and welcome to leader applications for sxc's first full-length session: april 2025! we're so excited to be hosting our first full session, and we hope that this session can be an absolutely amazing session for everyone! the deadline is february 21st at 23:59 utc (gmt). ⟡ how do i apply? simply remix the project with your answers! we'd also advise you make a theme for your answers, so they stand out from the crowd! ⟡ what is sxc? sxc, or science exploration camp, is a triannual virtual camp run here on scratch! it runs during the months of april, august, and decemeber, and encourages its participants to find out more about the amazing world we live in! sxc is focused more on personal goals and is non-competitive. ⟡ what does being a leader entail? as a leader, you'll be coming up with ideas for your cabin, such as a storyline, creating in-cabin activities, and helping out in the main cabin by answering questions and assisting in activities. leaders also have the opportunity to judge the science fair and help out with the science journal. ⟡ what sort of experience is nesscessary to lead sxc? you don't need to have participated in sxc or another scratch camp before, so long as you can show that you have taken on some sort of leadership experience in the past, such as leading a club at school or organising an event. all that we ask is that you come to the table enthusiastic and passionate about science and leading sxc! ⟡ are there co-leaders? yes! there are co-leaders! if your leader application doesn't get accepted, your application becomes a co-leader application and leaders will ask you to help lead your cabin with them. you can also just apply for co-leader as well, if you don't want the added responsibilities or slightly increased time commitment that comes with being a leader. ⟡ how are leaders decided? leaders are decided by the hosts, and cos are decided by the leaders. ⟡ what are backup cabins? backup cabins are used in case we get a sudden influx of interest in the camp, and need to add some more cabins to the lineup. ⟡ credits - skylar (@Milkysplash), em (@iinspirqtion), and celes (@Cynthialz) for hosting sxc - , , , and for originally hosting and running ssc (scratch science camp) which this camp is based on - swc for inspiring this camp
