Rules - you place 1-4 character cards in front of you. You may have as many characters as you want in your deck, but a player loses after eight characters are defeated from their team, you run out of character cards, or run out of usable action cards the round begins once all your characters have action cards selected (Attack / Defend / Status / Item) Using cards: Action cards, when attached to a character, must be face down until they are played If you choose to use an item you need to place it in a discard pile after it is played Armor cards have a durability value, which is lowered each turn. Once this value is depleted the card “breaks” and is sent to the discard pile You must have a weapon card attached to a character in order to use attacks, attacks can have three different types – melee, ranged, or magic – and require a weapon card of its respective type Character cards have a speed value, which determines which characters go when. If a character has the same speed value of another character then you must flip a coin to determine what character goes first Once a character card’s HP value is depleted, it must be sent to the discard pile Character cards have certain effects that must be applied before a specific action is dealt (ex: Crit chance - roll a d20 before using an attack card) Defend cards block a certain number of damage, but cannot be played sequentially unless stated otherwise by an effect Card types can be disabled by status effects, and last until the value on the status card is depleted, in which the status card will be sent to the discard pile of the person who played it Attack cards do not get sent to the discard pile unless stated otherwise by the attack card or the weapon card
