Katie’s wings hit the bark, taking in most of the impact of her being thrown into a tree and back into the universe she had been, a pained gasp escaping her lips quite easily as she had been terrified moments ago, facing the skeleton and his very fearful aura; A familiar aura… one that made her both terrified to her to even be there, standing in the cold path that had led from the ruin’s door. And then the child that had walked out of it, holding a flower pot with what looked like Savestar in it, despite being in another AU. She had watched both the child and the flower for a moment before that skeleton showed up, scaring the child with complete ease. It had been enough to make Katie stay, which proved to be a mistake now she had thought about it. She slowly took a step forward getting off the tree, looking to Sarah who had a concerned look on her face, a hand reaching out to Katie as her eyes nervously glanced over her as she slowly exhaled, pulling her mask and hood down to breathe for a moment. Her pulse raced for a long moment, making it harder to focus. “I-I’m fine. I’m alright.” Katie whispered, trying to ease the adrenaline as she started walking back to the church, her vision going a little fuzzy but reformed properly as she stepped inside Lesser’s… ‘office’. She had gotten some confused and concerned looks by the villagers but she barely paid attention to any of them. Abyss took a single glance over to Katie as she re-entered the room with a shaky exhale of small relief, “Hey ki-...” He stood up straight, walking over as his eye sockets went pure and plain black, sending a shiver down Katie’s spine. Clearly he had seen she was injured, even without his eyelights showing, he clearly took a glance over her before uttering a single word. “Who.” Katie didn’t say a single word, which was mostly for the better as she turned to Kat who had a similar expression to Abyss, one of anger and protectiveness, as she walked over to Katie and forcing a Crab Apple into her hands “I- I dont– I’m fine—” Katie tried to say but Kat didn’t say a word, racing out of the room to follow Katie’s sent as a trail to where she had came from. Katie painfully folded her wings back onto her back as Abyss let out an aggressive sigh, before going back to his domain to calm down leaving Katie to race after Kat, getting close to her but, not close enough to stop her from entering the red rift that wasn't far from the outskirts of the village. - As Katie entered through, a shift in the rift occurred, forcing her in a different domain than she had intended to end up; nearly ending up face planting into the ground but stumbled, and caught herself before she could, adjusting herself to be kneeling rather than just sitting on the floor which she could recognize easily as Abyss’s domain by a sole glance. Her heart raced as she re-folded in her aching wings, begging for relief from the pain and the bark that was in her wings. 'holy hell…' Katie thought at first, as she slowly took deep breaths trying to ignore and weaken the pain as of the current moment, her eyes shutting for a moment before relaxing enough to calm her pulse. 'I shouldn’t be this tolerant to pain… I’ve felt worse… I shouldn’t have gotten this soft.' Katie shakily exhaled as she reopened her eyes, forcing down not just the pain to the best of her abilities but memories also. 'No, not important as of now… I. I just need to find Abyss.' Katie placed a hand on her knee before pushing herself up, flinching at the pain for a moment, shaking her head as a deep indent in the ground caught her off guard from the corner of her eye. 'Was… did he fire a gaster blaster?...' Katie questioned herself, walking over and following the trail across the long cavern, an inner instinct telling her to be cautious as the sound of echoed struggling and minor explosions trailed from a far-off room, one that Katie didn't seem to notice right away.
SECOND PART --- She stood there for a moment, silently choosing between her decisions before deciding to advance and walk over quietly, not wanting to drag attention to herself than the attention she may have already brought to herself. She slowed down as she put a hand on one of the many cavern crystals, which lightly glowed at her touch, but not by much as she peered around it, and into the room where she had heard the source of the explosions and struggles. Just in time to see a black glitchy looking skeleton get punched in the face with more than enough force to crack the ground below the two. Despite the shock that almost nearly caused Katie to pull away she hesitated long enough to both see and hear a familiar skeleton. “I am not in a mood to be MESSED WITH” Abyss harshly shouted in a cold tone, one that was strong enough to send a wave of unusual fear into Katie. 'Oh. . . He. He’s pissed. Oh gods.' Katie quietly hid behind the crystal, choosing to not step in because from what she had seen so far was more than enough to make her be AFRAID of Abyss. 'His- their? Attention on me? Hell no.' She watched the angry black glitchy skeleton fire some strings at Abyss, who merely grabbed them a hint of determination alongside his anger. As he then used the strings to absolutely YEET the other skeleton through the open portal, grumbling something about being tired of the repeated annoyance as he flew there in silence. 'M’kay… now that he’s gone… Who the heck WAS that' She slowly exhaled to attempt and calm herself before stepping out from behind the crystal. “...Abyss?”
