The rumors of Aeceus plotting my father’s death in order to get the throne were outrageous. Aeceus had made a reference to an old Ascavadian fairy tale. Two dragons were rumored to be behind wildfires, in the land of the Acvat Sea Dragons, but even though they were never found guilty, one was slaughtered and the other given a chance to learn. The other, in desperation, killed himself. In the tale, just before the first dragon dies, he says “Fire must survive in Water, now.” Days after Aeceus came to me, my father called his council together and debated the topic. I did everything I could, but Aeceus was threatened to be sent north to the Snowbound Abyss. The next few weeks the rumors died down as new ones took there place. After being friends with Aeceus for years, my father engaged us, saying he was "a powerful ally who would provide the Kingdom with powerful rulers". He referred to Aeceus' rare ability of Foresight. Of course, they were only vague glimpse's of the future, but genes could mix, he says, and between me and Aeceus' abilities, we could truly have powerful children.
