CHAMPIONS: SQUAD COMBAT champions is a tactical combat sim in which you hire, summon, and merge allies of various ancestries to create the top squad and complete the storyline (you can also play without following the story.) here is a detailed breakthrough of how to prepare for and play your first match: 1. Select whether or not you want the basic or random package (if you're a beginner choose "basic" as this is an ideal set for max squad power) 2. read the intro page then press space. make sure to look at the the "complete ... to continue" box 3. check your allies: click the "allies" tab. you will see a list containing the numbers "1" "2" and "3." click the "inspect" button, and type the number "1" to inspect the first ally in the list. (if you want to inspect the 5th, you type "5" even if they are shown as "bane" in the list.) the stats aren't essential at the beginning, so don't worry to much about them now. what you do want to check is the "ancestry" variable. this determines their species attack and their ability. (specific effects in notes and credits.) then, name them by clicking the "change" button next to their name. after that, press space to return to the home screen and repeat for each ally. 4. setup your squad: click the "squad" button (in home screen.) then, click the "change" button on the first circle. type in the number of the ally you want (which circle you put them in doesn't matter.) and type in the number of the weapon you want them to have. (inspecting weapons is the same as inspecting allies, but in the "owned gear" tab.) repeat this for each circle. 5. click "play" and select your gamemode (the gamemode listed in the "complete [x] to continue" box is recommended to kick off the story). here are instructions for in-game play: press space to switch your active ally. your active ally is slightly brighter than normal. use the arrow keys to move your active ally. press V to use your active ally's species attack. you can only use 3 species attacks per match, in any combination (3 leader's, 1 leader's and 2 ally 1's, 2 leaders and 1 ally 2's, etc.) everyone uses normal attacks automatically. WARNING: if the game asks something, always input the number, not the name of the item in the list. WHEN YOU MERGE TWO ALLIES, IT COSTS SPIRIT EQUAL TO BOTH ALLIES LVL ADDED TOGETHER, AND THE NEW ALLIE DOES NOT HAVE SPECIES ATTACKS. BUT IT HAS BOTH ALLY'S ABILITIES. always press space to return home, unless you are playing a match, in which case, you click "retreat" and survive 10 secs. COMMENT ANY SPECIES YOU WANT ME TO ADD!!! EFFECTS OF SPECIES ATTACKS: LIZARDFOLK: +50 str, attack 5X (30 dmg) SHOCKWOLF: enemy can't attack or move for a short time.
