♡ Jaya Nami ♡ ... Table of Contents ♡ ┆Introduction ┆Lore ┆Credits ... Introduction ♡ Welcome to part one of heartbreak tour. For those of you wondering what this is, I used to have a lot of rp characters with their person who turned out to kind of a creep and generally a transphobic person, not name calling but long story short, I have to rework a ton of my characters to no longer include their characters. I'm not the sort of person that is going to change who their character is and what they did so instead, I'll be taking canon events and adding a 'what if' something else happened that would completely take their character away from my lore Anyways, we're starting here with Jaya because Jaya is such an important character to be emotionally. Getting a bit personal here but uh- before 7th grade, I had such a hard time telling people my ethnicity. I'm half white and half indian and knew 0 white people and 0 indians if you could believe that. Everyone I knew from school was either from Japan, Korea or China. I sort of had no idea what my ethnicity was like culturally from either side since I was so cut off. Whenever someone asked me if I was asian, it took me like a whole minute to figure out what to say. Jaya as a character represents my indian side, she's a fun, festive person who enjoys her culture basically. I recently took a trip to India in particular and I actually *really* enjoyed it. I went for a wedding so I got to learn about the fashion, culture and foods and everything. Jaya is sort of my chance to express more of that. I tried drawing something very similar last year in January so it's a good indicator as to how my art has changed in the past year. I must say I'm very proud of what I have been able to do. Lore ♡ since meeting oizys (character I'm trying to remove), she had hung out with him quite a lot. she was confined in a tank and was isolated for the most part, so him coming to see her meant the world to her. however, as the days dawned on, he stopped coming (canon event) and jaya was left alone once more with no explanation. she ended up being heartbroken, eventually moving on when she met hunter willson, a scientist who had lost his ex to death. the two of them became quick friends. oizys had one day returned, but was jealous of hunter. (everything up until now is canon) Instead of jaya's originally plot where she didn't like hunter romantically, jaya has feelings for hunter and realizes that she deserves attention and a bit more respect than what oizys had given her. in this plot, jaya breaks ways with oizys after he broke her heart while she starts a new chapter with hunter willson. ...
