WARNING: Long Loading Time ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ReBitKe (pronounced ree-BIT-kay or REE-bit-KAY) is a Christian musician in the United States. His mission is to make electronic music that families can listen to without worrying about its origin or background. The name, ReBitKe, was chosen for two reasons. First, as a successor to RBK_sandwich, his previous alias. Second, it reflects the atmosphere of his music. "Re" being a prefix meaning "again" reflects the nostalgic element of his music. "Bit" reflects its electronic nature and chiptune elements. "Ke" was just tacked on to complete the acrostic, but it also kind of pulls together the name, it kind of feels like a little check mark next to it. It's nice. ReBitKe's major inspirations change based on the time period. Redundancy was very inspired by people like Toby Fox, Nobonoko, and Mort Garson. Recursion drew similar inspirations but also attempted to fit the aesthetic of Halfland, a game I was creating at the time which many of the songs from Recursion were composed for. Repercussions, though, takes a very dramatic turn away from chiptune. This is due mainly to my shift in music taste going into junior year of high school. The previous summer I began listening to a genre named IDM, and in turn many of the songs from Repercussions attempted to fit into this genre. Repercussions mainly drew from artists like Plaid, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, and non-IDM artists such as Daft Punk and DJ Shadow. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Redundancy - released October 3, 2023 1.
