“stare at the sky; at the sapphire hues the streams, so clear, with it’s twinkling blues you want to go there, i know you do, im sorry- it’s just a dream you hope will come true gaze at the clouds- such a hypnotic gray: in the distance, a factory, churning smoke night and day, the odor’s revolting, and there’s nowhere to play, ‘cause everywhere theres litter and animals that’re stray. that is my world, and soon it’ll be yours- care to come over, share a few of the chores? help pick up some trash, reduce the foul vapors, turn off the lights- it’ll save us rare ores help others to be aware, won’t hurt anyone to know or else our planet will get worse- it’ll be such a blow to find earth inhabitable, with nowhere else to go let’s help nature return, as it was like long ago.”
@earth_lover5 for the contest characters, art, + poem belong to yours truly music: “faded” by alan walker go do what the poem tells you to do :) lore: the girl on the left is cynthia, and on the right is azalea (lea for short). cynthia lives in a polluted planet, hence the gray and the smoke. she wants to be surrounding by the natural beauty that lea has lived in all her life. lea, as i said, literally lives in a forest. she wants to be in the very technology-advanced world that lea calls home. it’s hard having to use fire to cook and having to bathe in a river. they want each other’s life, but they can’t have it. hence the barrier thingy separating them.
