- Prologue - Duskpaw sighed as he watched his friends argue, tail twitching.Mallardpaw had been more aggressive recently, the reason behind it was a mystery. Anyone who even attempted to talk to her ended up with a nicked ear or some other injury that would definitely scar. His friend, and crush although he would never admit it, Splashpaw learned that the hard way. "So hows the mouse-brain doing" A voice meowed behind him. he turned to see Splashpaw trotting up to him.He was honestly shocked she was asking, even more so that there was genuine *concern* in her eyes. Splashpaw and Mallardpaw hated each other with a passion.Splashpaw loved rubbing Mallardpaw's misfortunes in her face and Mallardpaw loved harassing her.At the same time though they were inseparable. if anything they had more of a frenemy relationship. or maybe just a toxic friendship if that's what you wanted to call it. not his problem though. that was for them to deal with. "That depends" Duskpaw sighed. "Do you want an honest answer or do you want me to lie?" He nodded his head to Streakpaw and Mallardpaw who were at this point practically trying to kill eachother with insults "Oh.."
