Coalpaw went to the gathering along with Cedarpaw and Jadepaw. The gathering, Coalpaw thought, was more boring than usual. Just a bunch of talking about borders, new warriors, and other things. Back at camp, Coalpaw was about to enjoy some sleep when Aspenkit bounded up to her. "What was the gathering like!?" She asked, "Was it fun!?" The tip of Coalpaw's tail twitched. Aspenkit was a energetic little kit but she could never stay in the nursery. "Uh... yeah it was fun," Coalpaw said. And boring, she thought. Aspenkit rushed back into the nursery when Swallowtail called her. "That's what having an apprentice is like," Coalpaw turned around and say Smokestorm looking at her. Coalpaw flicked her tail and headed towards the apprentice den. The next day, Coalpaw was going hunting with Smokestorm. "You go off and catch some prey," Smokestorm said," But remember, I'll be watching you." Coalpaw darted away. It was long before she found a vole. She stalked it carefully all the way towards the Twoleg nests. Suddenly, a twig snapped and the vole scurried away. Coalpaw whipped her head up, trying to see who had scared away her prey. To her surprise, it wasn't a Clan cat but a kittypet. "What are you doing in our territory?" Coalpaw hissed, "Your territory?" The white kittypet asked, " I thought this was just a forest," "This area belongs to Thunderclan," Coalpaw growled, "What's Thunderclan?" Coalpaw shook her head. This kittypet was wasting time and she didn't want Smokestorm to see her with the cat. "Just get away!" Coalpaw hissed, as Smokestorm emerged from the brambles.
I'll try to make pictures based off of what is happening in the chapter but the image generator doesn't get it right. I would've added more but I ran out of characters. hehe
