Play the compiled version at: https://nelson.coderdojo.nz/Q-Bert/ Arrow keys to move Q*Bert from cube to cube. Change all cubes to the specified colour. Watch out for the enemies. Green things are ok to run into. The green ball will freeze the enemies. Slick and Sam are the annoying green guys that change the colours back on you but you can run into them and eliminate them. Coily (the snake) will chase you but you can escape on the flying discs. Coily will follow you over the edge to his demise if he is close enough. Ugg and Wrong Way (purple guys) have their gravity messed up - they start at the bottom corners but act like it's the top. A Scratch re-creation of the classic arcade game from 1982. Q*Bert was originally conceived and created by Warren Davis and Jeff Lee for Gottlieb, an arcade game company owned by Columbia Pictures at the time and rights of the game were later owned by Sony after they purchased Columbia Pictures. I tried to remain faithful to the original arcade version of the game but doing a few things the Scratch way when it made sense, e.g. displaying variables for score, level, etc., using colour graphic effect for changing cube colours... See https://nelson.coderdojo.nz/projects/qbert/ for guidelines on how to make this in Scratch.
