I think our time together is coming to a close... Today I decided to take him out for his first trail ride here, since the trails aren't too muddy anymore. Not only that, but I rode him totally at liberty with only a neck-rope - didn't even bring a halter! On my first trail ride with him! It's amazing how much I can trust this horse. And even though it was a long, rather hard ride, he seemed to really enjoy it and he kept pushing even when he got tired at the end. I think I'm going to give him a break tomorrow. He's come a long way!
