How nuclear fission works:Nuclear fusion was discovered in December of 1938 when Otto Hahn and of scientists. Nuclear fission is when nuclear atoms (nuclei) get force together(like shown here). Then after that both of the atoms get separated forming new atoms. Some atoms that can be used in nuclear fusion include uranium and plutonium. Other ways for nuclear fission is the splitting of atoms but I do not really understand that. Anyway back to nuclear fission. If you were to make a nuclear weapon and you used uranium the uranium would have to be u-238 (if you wanted to make a more dangerous nuclear weapon but yeah).
