Note, if you don't want to watch the cutscenes, press space! Controls: On the Stage Select, use the arrows to move and press space to select a boss. In game, use arrow keys to move, press Z to jump, X to shoot, and C to dash. Dodge the Zero's many attacks and come out on top by outplaying them, instead of relying on raw power. Over the last 5 months or so, I have absolutely fallen in love with the mega man X series. X1-X5 are absolutely PERFECT games, and it's been a joy to play through them. I always knew about Zero, mainly through Smash Bros and Mega Man Unlimited, but finally getting to see who he is and why people like him, he is awesome. In my opinion, Both of Zeros boss fights from X2 and X5 are phenomenal, so the point of this project was to imagine if Zero had a boss fight in every Mega Man X game, (X1-X6, at least) and try to deliver a fun story alongside it! Anyways, that's it for now! enjoy! ___________________________________________ Zero Boss Tips: Spoilers ahead!!! General tips: The best piece of advice is to stay on the walls. They are your best friends, as most of zero's attacks will just go right under you. Each Zero is also equip with at least one move that can target you on the walls, so watch for that. You will never have the firepower to overwhelm Zero, so instead you have to outmaneuver him, and strike him when he's weak. As long as you keep these general tips in mind, the coming threats will be no issue. X1 Zero: Carnage Zero- Zero does a consistent stream of dashing to you, buster lemons, and a charged attack. Listen for the Charge Cue to avoid the charge attack, and stay on the walls. the only thing you have to watch out for is his buster lemons, as they are shot at you. carefully maneuver around the attacks and finish zero off. X2 Zero: Absolute Zero- this is a toughie, he has 3 actions he can do, and they are all a pain. Firstly, he has a lightning fast buster combo, stay on the walls to avoid this. Then he has a saber dash into a ground pound, listen for the audio cue and dash jump off the wall as he comes towards you. Finally, he can randomly block attacks, when he does this, just get out of the way, as the follow up attack can mess you up badly. Keep attacking and don't let him break through your defense, and you should be fine. X3 Zero: Harbinger Zero- He doesn't have a high variety of attacks, usually just slashing a beam at your position and dashing while shooting a charge shot forwards, but the real danger with Harbinger Zero is that he is very reactionary to your attacks. Whenever he senses an attack coming near him, he'll try and jump over it while attacking with a saber slash in mid air. Be wary of this, and make sure you can dodge the follow up attack he does. X4 Zero: Retribution Zero- He's fast, but he always has the same attack pattern, starting with a dash slash, rising fire slash, ice stab, and lightning shank. These are all melee, so keep your distance and pick him off from a far. X5 Zero: Awakened Zero- He's a lot like Absolute Zero, but he's a lot more unpredictable. Watch the homing buster rings he shoots out, and keep an eye on zero to be on the lookout for his giga Gemu slash, as the beam shot out will take up the nearly the whole screen! to avoid it, go high and hop over it from the top of the wall. X6 Zero: Nightmare Zero- He's the oddball of the zeros, jumping around a lot and sticking to the celling and slashing ice shards at you, as well as having the saber and buster combat you'd expect from the others. The trick here is to stay away from him, and watch for his shadow warp. He has a pattern, so it can be timed for when it needs to be avoided. (SPOILERS FOR THE FINAL BOSS) Zero: This is the ultimate culmination of every Zero clone before hand. He's incredibly dangerous, and you should NEVER be on the same Y level as him. Even worse is that he's unpredictable, but If you've taken everything you know by conquering these doppelgangers and preform, what's one more beast to slay? Good luck, Maverick Hunter...
Story: It's Been 1 year since the Colony Drop Incident, and unfortunately Zero, the Red Reploid who piloted the Shuttle that destroyed Eurasia gave his life to stop the crisis. He was sucked into the blast, and hasn't been seen since. With a heavy heart, X continued to command the Maverick Hunters. The last of the mavericks infected during the Fall of Eurasia have been mostly snuffed out and taken down, even with the loss of Zero... However... one fateful day... Reports break out all over the city of a coordinated attack. The source of this attack is.... is...? Zero??? For some unknown reason, 6 copies of zero were built with one prime directive in mind: to destroy everything. Put an end to the 6 copy Zeros and find out who's behind this whole mess. ___________________________________________ Credits: -Thanks to LegoBuzz for the Mega Man X Code! -Thanks to the Masked Monocol for X7's SNES Stage select theme! -Thanks to Evolution BR811 for X7's second Stage Select theme! -Thanks to Capcom for making Mega Man X
