Flurry groaned blinking awake. He found himself in a chair, in front of him was Shadow in another chair. Gecko walked over, Shadow was just waking as well. "You know Shadow I found you, revived but not healed from that little NightWing, fixed your broken bones, stitched up your wounds and what did you do in return? Turn my assistant against me and have me kill 14 valuable test subjects. Over a cursed IceWing" Gecko spat. Shadow snarled, Flurry tried to pull free. Gecko drove a blade into Flurry's throat, he coughed, blood spurting from the wound as he twitched weakly. Shadow could only watch his friend bleed out and came back. "Now since I have this immortal... Creature... at my disposal, I don't need other subjects. I can do anything I want to him and he can't die. But I still need you. To keep him in control." Gecko said. He pressed a talon to Shadows head, he snarled in pain. Gecko laughed stepping back "Now Now Flurry, I'm sure you don't want to see Shadow in the same state you found him in after he disappeared do you?" Gecko teased. Flurry froze, shaking his head. Gecko smiled "Then you'll listen. Step out of line, I'll boil your blood then hurt him. Understood?" Gecko asked. Flurry nodded, tears welling in his eyes. Gecko drew up a milky looking substance, Shadow looked terrified as he approached Flurry. He pushed it into his upper spine and Flurry didn't fight as Gecko pushed the plunger. Flurry whimpered as it entered his back. It hurt almost immediately. Shadow watched in fear. Flurry groaned as he could feel the substance spreading down his spine. He felt limp and like he couldn't move. Gecko unclamped Flurry who tried to get up, he just collapsed, spine limp as a dead deer. Gecko laughed as Flurry struggled, trying to get up. "I wonder what this does to a dragons brain?" Gecko asked drawing up another dose. Shadow thrashed terrified for his friend but Flurry smiled reassuringly at him. Gecko pushed it into the roof of his mouth causing him to give a choked cry of pain as the acidic liquid entered his head. Flurry quickly fell limp, alive but dying slowly. Gecko nodded taking notes. The substance ate through his skull eventually and it and cranial fluid leaked onto the stone. Gecko shoved him back into the chair then left. Flurry whimpered in pain, his spine and head still hurt. "I'm sorry Flurry" Shadow choked out "Don't be. I'd do this for 100 years to save you." He smiled. Eventually the two found sleep.
