play twice to get the timing right. perhaps even Double Click that Flag am i Right guys. who remembers people saying that.! do they still say that slime character, spiky teeth guy, sunshine itself in inchling form, and triumphant small dot are not my characters!!! also featuring grian and scar since the people i took that screenshot with had those skins on at the time lol it's My Time. My Time to use the emotional weight of characters i like to make animation. i had a VISION for this, and then started and instantly realized this was going to be very fast paced. so i really pushed my usual timing style to the limit here lol this is that robot flower character story from The Other Stuff!! it's a character that has formed over two summers now and i love herrrr when i initially started this (cough ages ago), i had just finally gotten to share more of her story!! and map parts are usually a good way for me to have motivation to animate stuff,, so i used this as an excuse to do so lol the art-style here is fairly purble inspired,, since i wanted to try recreating the vibe of the map thumbnail as a Study!!! this vector-y style reminds me of @beet-eggs, i think it's super cool i wanted to change up my usual by animating words too! keep myself on my toes lol. lyric animation.... preposterous you say...... overall wanted to attempt something dynamic and continuous and i think i succeeded!! :muscle: okay at some point i ran out of energy for the pictures so i remade an actual screenshot and it helped me get through the artblock (even if it seems out of place sorry) was gonna delete a lot of the outer lines to give it more of a vector feel but it's been so long that i just have to share this and be done working on it i think. i need to be Free there's lots of story here!! i'll tell you the scenes - slime character watching the robot run away trailing snow, upset at the developing symptoms of this coldness virus - Hard cut to the horrors. someone is behind glass going Oh God Don't! and a scientist with a ponytail is Turning on a Mechanism and going Cya!!! And That's Not Ominous - photos of slime character and robot meeting for the first time, slime character and Kindness Inchling getting married, the Server Church getting Exploded by some Little Dude (i wasn't able to make it to that event), and then an iconic first server photo that is actually supposed to have two more people than it does here and i cannot be bothered to fix it rn!!! - robot feels Very nostalgic over past times, leaves frame in a hurry - last scene is standing alone in a recreation of that iconic photo's location, and to provide context!! the robot used to be able to grow plants fairly quickly, but an incident took most of that power away. the way the entire room is covered in vines tells you Something about how long she had to have stayed in that room, thinking of her old friends, Just for that whole thing to be filled with plants. once again sharing a project at two am just so i don't forget. skull emoji now that i have finished this i can start working on The Things i Have to be Doing.
