Two clans fighting for territory and for food. Constantly in a rush to survive. Will they survive the frigid winter? [LichenClan]: Among the rocky mountains live the brave and adaptable Lichenclan warriors. They live amongst the snow-covered trees, fighting to survive through the frigid winters and the short summers. [History]: They lived in constant fear of the many predators that surrounded them until their leader, Lichenstar, united the clan with a feast of a prey-pile as tall as a bear, some elders say. It wasn't long ago that the Lichenclan cats fought each other for what little food they had. Lichenstar, who had previously been known as Lichenstep, was a young but clever warrior that lived with his two younger brothers. The middle brother, Harepelt and the youngest brother, Owlflight. His mate, Rosetangle was expecting kits and they hadn't had the food, or the shelter to provide for his family. The cats that inhabited the area had been in an endless feud until Lichen came along and proposed peace to the thin and tired cats of the mountains and forest. He brought them all together with a feast, convincing them to come together, at least until Leafbare ended and the cats could go back to living by themselves. That was the only thing that he could say to convince them to all agree. But by Newleaf, all of the cats of Lichenclan learned how much they needed each other. Of course some cats don't like their new style of living, and act out every once in a while, but Lichenstep worked to keep the peace, and the clan eventually named him Lichenstar. Your first sight upon entering the camp is the rocks and boulders that litter the ground, giving kits plenty of room to climb and explore.The fresh-kill pile is kept close to the elder's den, so they can take a meal without bothering warriors all the time. Cats can find fresh water after a bit of a journey; apprentices have to carry wet moss to camp for kits and elders from the water source. The leader makes announcements from a ledge perched on the side of the roof of the cave called the HighLedge. It is not their den. Instead, they sleep underneath the camp walls. The nursery is protected in the corner of the mossy cave. Apprentices sleep with the warriors in den half-dug into the ground. The medicine cats sleep and store their herbs in a den woven from willow stems. The elders get to rest next to the nursery, so the elders can easily visit their grandkits. While the nursery is always as far into camp as possible, other dens are scattered around the cave. The leader's den is in the center of camp. If cats need to make a quick escape, they can run out the secret exit that is in the back of the cave, covered by vines to keep it hidden. [LichenClan Territory Bio]: The cave in which the Lichenclan cats dwell is surrounded by tall mountains and frigid forests. ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ [BirchClan] Clan two: Near the edge of LichenClan’s woods, BirchClan warriors pad through the icy gusts blowing down from the mountains. They live amidst the rivers and lakes, their pelts designed to be thicker to keep warm in the frozen waters. They've been around longer than LichenClan but their code is much stricter. [History]: Birchclan had been the only clan in the [Name of the place] for more than a hundred moons until Lichenclan was founded. Birchclan is a respected and feared clan, home of the strong and resilient Birchclan warriors. When the clan was started, it wasn't as easy and peaceful as Lichenclan, they had constant in-fighting and cats were constantly falling out of line. Until Birchclan’s sixth leader, FrostStar, stepped up and took charge. She decided that the only way that she would have the clan under control and no longer in complete frenzy as it once was. She came up with a whole new branch of warrior code. The cats obviously didn't love the idea of that and some of them decided to leave the clan and go off to start another, Lichenclan. They left in the middle of Leafbare, so they didn't have the food or the shelter to start one, until Lichenstep. Froststar was furious and thus began the war between Lichenclan and Birchclan. The fresh-kill pile is kept well organized; the oldest catches are at the top so it won't be wasted. Cats can find fresh water after a bit of a journey; apprentices have to carry wet moss to camp for kits and elders from the water source. The leader makes announcements from the TallWillow; a huge willow tree in the center of the camp. It acts as their den as well. The nursery is protected in a hollow tree. Apprentices sleep under a thorn bush. The warriors sleep underneath a bramble bush. The medicine cats sleep and store their herbs outside under the gaze of the stars or sleep in an empty log of a fallen tree. The elders get to rest in a den woven from willow stems. While the nursery is always as far into camp as possible, other dens are scattered around camp. If cats need to make a quick escape, they can leave through a tunnel used by the leader and medicine cats. Here, some cats sleep in the branches hanging over camp.
