Use the arrow keys to move the paddle. Catch the ball when it falls to deflect it back into the blocks. Hit blocks for points. Break all the blocks on the screen to get to the next level. There are 6 levels... Try to get the High Score, and don't miss the ball, or you'll lose a life. When on the title screen, press V to show the volume slider, V again to hide it. My score on a normal run (67300) was over 10 times the highest scorer out of all you people. Please, keep going. After level 2, some new blocks appear, and things get interesting... I didn't even do all that well this run, and yet I'm ahead of you by miles!
It surprised me to find that, despite how well known it is, there are so, so few breakout attempts on scratch, so I decided to make one. Also, in order to out-do what already existed, I decided that mine should be entirely in pen... (The 0.1% missing is the thumbnail, which can't be made without a sprite). The ball can be controlled slightly, (but nothing major, as that'd defeat the point). Update log: 09/06/16: Made the basic engine - blocks, paddle, ball... Simple pen rendering. No scoring yet. 10/06/16: Graphical touch-ups, such as a revel on the blocks and a trail behind the ball. Game over if you run out of lives. 11/06/16: A text engine :D meaning that I can render text, such as the score! Bonus points are rewarded for passing a level without losing the ball. Added sound effects (but no music yet). 12/06/16: Cloud high score engine and title screen added (Along with a bunch of new levels) 15/06/16: Release V1.0 - 9 Levels and a title screen... (If anyone beats all 9, they deserve a round of applause!) 29/06/16: V1.01: Fixed a bug relating to the paddle, Added particle effects Added "music" (can be turned off by pressing 'm'). Updated thumbnail. -Volume can be changed on the title screen by pressing ''v''. (Except when muted). 30/06/16: V1.1 Added a new block type (TNT) Modified the uninspired Level 3 to make a new level that uses TNT 01/07/16: V1.2: Added 'wildcard' and 'concrete' blocks. Modified old levels such as 4, 5, and 6 to include new designs that make use of the new blocks. Reset Highscore list to make it fair pre-release... (There are 6 levels)
