So, @Kuliperos is the main person working the RPG, and he didn't wanna use my plot ideas, which I'm honestly perfectly fine with. However, after sharing my ideas, everybody else began brainstorming ideas based on mine, but since Kuliper didn't want to use them, there were sort of two RPGs being planned out at once--the situation's gotten kinda confusing. Therefore, I'm gonna give you all a clear, singular direction in which the RPG can go, and you can come up with stuff from there. The RPG will need a consistent art style. Preferably something pixelated, as that would make it look more like Mario RPG, but vector might be easier. For the sake of simplicity, the game's story will take place sometime after the Age of Order Arc. However, due to game development being a fairly lengthy process, I think--though it contradicts studio rules--it should be pretty disconnected from any major arcs. That way if we want to do something, we don't have to work around the RPG's timeline placement all that much. For that reason, let's not kill off characters, alter the map, or do anything like that until it's done. On the topic of characters, it seems that some of you (namely Wolf and Kuliper) wanted more than just the three party members I chose. Therefore, there should be a wider variety of possible party members to choose from. You can only use three at once, though. The "main" character--which is to say the one that traverses the overworld--will be Kuliper. Because he's a narcissist. This doesn't mean he always has to participate in battle, though; the selection of party members used whilst fighting should, in my opinion, be entirely up to the player. Also, though I was initially gonna have Hermit King as a party member, I think he should be a boss, now. He technically COULD be both, but I think that's a tad greedy, don't you? Not sure WHY Hermit King would be a boss...maybe he's being mind-controlled? Or maybe he's just feeling particularly fed up with the Shenaniganizens that day? I dunno, but he's perfect boss fight material, guys, c'mon. If there are going to be collectibles in this game, I think finding Obamium chunks and handing them over to Banjo at his lab would be a good way to implement that. Maybe he gives you unique items and upgrades in return. Should Banjo eventually join the party, his shop thing can be run by his lab’s AI, Kazooie, instead. One thing we all probably know is that an RPG needs lots of different places to traverse. I think the following Shenanigan Dimension locations would fit in quite well in an RPG setting: > Shenanigan Plaza, the Muffilo Ranches, and Void's Scrapyard would serve as peaceful shopping/resting locations with no enemies. > Quicksand Land is maybe undergoing a raid by the bad guy's minions. Once they're cleared out, though, it can just be another rest stop. > The Floridian Swamp could be a maze-like area with very few NPCs and lots of enemies. It also has a volcano underneath it, for those who forgot. > The Nunya Ruins should be desolate, empty, and sad in terms of atmosphere. There should be lots of tough enemies to fight, too. > The Saliva Sea, in order to actually be traversed, could be drained almost completely by the villain. Maybe you have to fill it back up somehow? > And lastly, I thought it'd be cool to have some new, mountainous location. I dunno, though. I'm leaving any brand-new places up to you guys. Now, the villain that's causing all these problems should be an entirely new character from outside 42-O. Since there isn't much wildlife in the Shenanigan Dimension, most of the enemies fought in the game should be his minions, which he brought into the Shenanigan Dimension to help him take it over. I also think that, in order to contrast the Disciplined One, he and his goons should be very comedic and fun villains. Anyways, that's all I have to say. Have fun workin' on this, you guys. Remember to do teamwork or whatever.
