Ranking Percy Jackson and the Olympians books (SPOILERS!) (these are only my opinions, you’re obviously allowed to have different ones. Please be respectful to everyone in the comments <3) Okay, let’s go: Number 5: Sea of Monsters Personally, I just didn’t find this one as captivating as the others. The plot twist at the end was cool, but the rest? Not for me. Number 4: The Lightning Thief: This one and number 3 are honestly at pretty much the same level. One of the major issues about this book for me was the pacing: the beginning was a little slow, in my opinion. It’s understandable, though, seeing as this is the first book in the series and all the characters had to be introduced. Number 3: Battle of the Labyrinth A solid book, although it dragged on and on forever. I felt like all the parts in which the main gang was in the labyrinth were a bit slow and I remember trying to push through all the beginning and middle part of the book just so I could finish it and move onto TLO. That said, the ending was absolutely incredible and even though it was a bit of a struggle to get through at first, it was a great read. Number 2: The Titan’s Curse A fantastic book which introduces two of my favorite characters: Nico and Bianca. The plot was great and I particularly enjoyed the inclusion of Atlas (one of the few Titans I knew before starting the series lol). I honestly don’t have a lot of criticism for it apart from the fact that I wish we got more Thalia moments. Number 1 The Last Olympian: This book. THIS BOOK. Where to start? Riordan needs to give me his secret to making me so sad about Beckendorf’s d3ath, like I literally couldn’t care less about him before reading TLO but OH MY GOSH. It was so sad anyway? Then the plot twist with the prophecy? And Luke being the real hero? (well, debatably anyway) And Percy rejecting immortality to be with Annabeth??? This book was quite literally the perfect end to the series.
