[ Day Number : 7 (gender identity) ] Definition : "Genderqueer is a gender identity that is neither male nor female, is a combination of the two binary genders, or is on a continuum between those two genders." - LGBTQIA+ Wiki [ Character : Cricketcry ( they/them ) ] [ Artist’s Corner ] Ok so first off, there were actually a LOT of coincidences for today’s pride month day I’m now realizing, the most notable of which being the characters that ended up falling on today. I had already pre-determined that I wanted to do Cricketcry for genderqueer and Bramblemask for poly, however what I didn’t realize was that genderqueer and poly. are on the same day. I swear that was SO completely unintentional, but it worked out soso well. Because of that, I ended up making their icons matching too! If you look at projects side-by-side, they match, which I think is very silly and fun. (Also context on the characters: in their story they’re together / in a relationship, thus why it’s so perfect they’re on the same day) ANYWAYS That aside, onto the icons! I don’t have a ton of notes on Cricketcry’s honestly. It is a Cricketcry icon of them during their ‘not suffering 24/7 + experiencing Redemption’ arc, and it gets it job done which I think is good. Also it’s Cricketcry art so automatically I’m gonna have positive feelings on it. Look man I’m the guy who made his entire iPad’s home screen based around a fictional warrior cat oc what do you expect (/lh /silly) As for the matching bit though, I did both icons on different canvases so I wasn’t sure how they’d end up looking, but overall they look really good when put together I think! In procreate the flags’ stripes even line up perfectly as well, which I like a lot.
