HELP WHY IS THIS TRENDING SO MUCH the science: basically spacetime itself is believed to expand like this over time, the redshift is light stretching, whereas the pixelation is the expansion spreading information (which is conserved) further apart, thus meaning less information per atom (though it probably would IRL look more like extreme atomic decay or something). since this is spacetime expanding uniformly, from any given place, it looks like the whole universe is moving away from you.
