recently, i've realized I'm on the ace spec (lithromantic) and I've been thinking about how constant romantic media is shoved in our (ace people)'s faces. everything operates around romance, and it makes younger aro/ace kids wonder about how valid they are. basically every song is about how in love the writer is, or how sad they are when somebody doesnt love them back. even when there is ace people in media, they're almost always very introverted and asocial, or very childish. I think that's one of the worst way to represent aro/ace people as that's very stereo typical, it's just a phase way to represent it. another thing i've seen is that "ace people don't people to love them" we want there to be loving people in our lives as much as anyone, just not ROMANTIC love, or people to "date" us. Ace spec (ei; demiromantic) people are almost NEVER seen in media and again, I cant even watch trolls with my little sis without romance being shoved in there.
