No one knew where she had come from, much less who owned them. The caretaker at the preschool took her in, deciding that since none of the kids were allergic to cats it would be fine for Hopscotch to stay there. The next morning, however, Hopscotch was gone. All that the staff could see was several of the children with chalk in their hands all huddled around something. In the middle of the mob of children was Hopscotch, happily purring after glancing at their new markings. Two of the children had surrendered some of their belongings, including a plastic toy purse and a tiny hat. Hopscotch got her name after finding out that even with four paws, she was amazing at playing hopscotch.
