RELEASE DATES ⚠︎ - - - INTRO Days, nights, weeks and months slip by – hell, perhaps even years – and you are none the wiser. There is only one event to be conscious of in the prison, and that is Judgement Day. When it comes, where will you fall? Does it matter? Do you dare try to warp HER justice? It is time to find out. ⚠︎ - - - STRUCTURE ⚠︎ PANOPTICON will be run in seasons, along the same timeline and location but each with a unique central story, NPCs, and so on. The surface-level concept remains the same throughout all seasons, however. One way or another, you have become a prisoner, and judgement will be distributed unto you. Everything you have done over your life, condensed into one minor existence in the paws of THE WARDEN for her cunning and skepticism to scrutinize. ⚠︎ Before a season begins, sign-ups will be open for five days. After they close, the season will begin. Sign-ups may open for brief periods of time while a season is ongoing, but this is not guaranteed. A season contains three rounds, with each lasting a month. During these three rounds you will have the chance to interact with various NPCs, explore multiple different opportunities – rebelling, escaping, maybe even working with THE WARDEN – and by the end of a round, you will receive a verdict: INNOCENT or GUILTY. Interrogations and other individual events will occur during a round for your character to take part in – based on the results of these as well as behavior THE WARDEN has noticed during a round, you will receive an appropriate verdict. This verdict will effect your living conditions as a prisoner. When the third round ends, it is far more impactful than the previous rounds. This is Judgement Day, on which your verdict will result in a final sentence – it is important to note that /death is a possibility/, though it is not guaranteed for those who are GUILTY. Depending on what happens to your character on Judgement Day, you may be invited to play them as an NPC in future seasons. ⚠︎ Each prisoner belongs to one of three cells – the Eastern, Western, and Southern. They can interact freely with the other prisoners in their cell at any given time. There are designated times once a week on Saturday where the COURTYARD will be available, however, and all prisoners may mingle freely – please note this may be restricted depending on the conditions of a verdict. Of course, there are other methods to get in touch with prisoners outside your cell, however.. though you'll have to be a bit more sneaky. ⚠︎ Each NPC can be interacted with in some manner once per day. There are a given set of actions you can do with each NPC, and performing these may give you access to insider information, useful tools, and other paths for your character to take. Some are roll-based, or might require previous steps to accomplish – your progress will be tracked by admins, although it is encouraged that you keep a record for yourself, as well. Information your character receives cannot be shared to multiple characters at a time. To share with another character, you must complete a roleplay thread with them – at least 5 replies from each person and a noted end. You can share one piece of information with three others maximum, each requiring an individual thread. There will be a project to log the sharing of information on – if it is not posted here, it cannot be used. With the exception of personal threads (unless specifically requested to roll), every NPC interaction has a chance of being spotted by THE WARDEN and thus contributing to your point total that will determine your verdict. Point totals are secret and recorded by admins. When THE WARDEN witnesses your action, this sentence will accompany your results post – (The watchtower lamp casts a burst of light onto you as it swings your way, momentarily blinding you.) You will not know whether the effect is positive or negative. ⚠︎ - - - RELEASE DATES Sign-ups for the first season will open February 22nd, 2025, and close on February 27th, 2025.
