Title: The Truth ****** This is not where I wanted to end up. All I want right now is to know that my family is safe. I did not want to get k!dnapped. Suddenly, the darkness left and I was finally able to see where I was. I was sitting in the middle of a room tied to a chair. Great. I thought to myself, the classic give me something or we'll k!ll you scene. I look around to see Mateo sitting in the corner, looking down. I also see another person, whom I don't recognize. "What do you want." I ask, with a shaky voice. Mateo doesn't move, but the other male does, "It's actually quite simple, but I don't think you'll listen very well if I give it to you in short." I don't say a word. I don't look away. And I hope I don't look as scared as I feel. "So I guess it's story time then," The man says when I don't say anything, "We all know the story of how Beast locks up all the bad guys on the Isle, and how Mal frees them, blah, blah, blah. That story has been told so many times. A group was left still feeling betrayed by the 'VKs'. They called themselves the Shadow Crawlers. Of course, why wouldn't they? Mal had all the power to free them, but she chose to be 'good'. This group subtly disrupted the peace throughout the United States of Auradon. A group even tried to convince Mal she was betraying her people. But she, Evie, Carlos, and Jay refused to listen. Finally, we decided it was time to attack. Of course, we didn't do it all on our own, we had some help." He smirked and looked over to Mateo. The man snapped his fingers and Mateo stood. Mateo made no eye contact, and looked so ashamed. "So now we need some more help, from you. Give us the map to the secret river of prosperity." "And why do you think I would do that?" I tried to keep my voice calm, but I was losing it. "Because I have a little leeway, you might want to know about." He turned around and a door opened. Another boy pulled Lilly in behind him. "I'll give you 24-hours to decide, otherwise you both d!e." They throw Lilly to the ground and everyone else leaves. I hurry next to Lilly and we sit silently on the ground. "Lilly," I start, then I cry, "I'm so sorry, Mateo told me he knew who was threatening our kingdoms, and I know this was reckless, but I'm freeking out and I'm so so so sorry." I turn to Lilly, and she's crying too. "They asked me for the Herz Der Sonne book, which has the map of the underground tunnels map, but I can't do that." Lilly said, as she wiped her tears. "How did they get you?" I asked. "I got a message from your phone that said to go to the enchanted lake, and they took my frying pan." "Oh." "Yeah." I sat up straight, "We have to find a way out of here." Lilly sat up straight too, "We do."
