This is used to build binary circuits. Drag logic gates out of the big ones on the left. Drag lights out of the yellow square in the bottom. You click the first gate you want to connect then the second. Gates have 2 inputs and one output. Xor, pronounced X or, outputs 1 if one of the inputs is on but not the other. Or outputs 1 of either input or both inputs are on. And outputs 1 if both inputs are on. Not inverts its input, so 0 becomes 1 and 1 becomes 0. If you want to remove a visual wire, use the wire eraser tool. Click and drag it to where you want to erase.
This is a project I spent a lot of time on, and I am really happy with it. The wire eraser tool does not remove the wire, only the visual.
