Hello again, fellow scratchers! So, um, I don't know if any of you share this opinion or if it's just my paranoia, but I feel that it's long overdue for me to address why I just so happened as to disappear into the void. To put it simply, I first joined Scratch a little over six and a half years ago. And you may be wondering, "What in the world could the time you've spent on this website possibly have to do with your recent inactivity??" However, as I see it, the major overlap between the two is that more than half a decade after joining this darling website, my schedule has changed drastically. Among other things, I have significantly more schoolwork and spend a fair bit more time with my friends (either in-person or texting on one of our many group chats)... So, in short, I have several other priorities beyond creating content for and remaining current in the community of a kids' coding website (which has become so much more than that, not to discredit Scratch's impacts). If any of you so happened as to have checked before reading this (I won't blame you if you didn't lol), the last time that I shared a project was April 29th, 2023 (more than two years ago). In regards to how relatively fast-paced everything tends to be on the Internet, with its "like, like, comment, share, post, share, share, share, dislike, favorite, save, post, post, comment, comment, like, share, save" format, that isn't particularly the most impressive number (or maybe it is, depends on your outlook/demographic lol). While I fully understand that Scratch tends to be a tad bit more mellow than your average social media platform, it can still be kind of... overwhelming, at times. Particularly, for example, when it comes to keeping up to date with the sheer multitude of web comics that have been uploaded on here. While I adore reading Willow Walkers, Tales of Perfectheart, Crystals, the Eternal Apprentice, and many, MANY others, I find it difficult to remember to read them whenever new chapters update. Long story short: life is a lot and I have found that Scratch is rapidly dropping in my priorities list. Not to say that I'm entirely abandoning this website and community and never ever coming back (in fact, I might even make more efforts to be active here), but I would no longer consider this to be as important to me and my life and social life as it was during Covid Era. That being said, I sincerely hope that you guys are doing well and I wish you the absolute best with your lives! Thanks for taking the time to read this if you did so! T^T [I literally typed most of it in JANUARY]) 3/16/2026 update: Okay, due to the fact that this was a tad dull, here are some fun (and some not-so-fun) facts about what I've been up to recently! ("recently" meaning the last few years): - I was Circe for Halloween last year and Bill Cipher the year before that - my favorite color is.. blue (aka, the most common one lmao) - I have a chronic shoulder injury - I love baking, reading, singing, swimming, and playing video games - I love making cupcakes, especially - my favorite tv show is still The Owl House - my favorite game is Stardew Valley (mostly because of nostalgia) - my favorite movie is La La Land - I have an ao3 account - my favorite book is Where the Crawdads Sing - my favorite drinks are boba (especially with rose or winter melon milk tea) and iced matcha lattes - I hate mushrooms, pumpkin, and sweet potatoes - I have had several mini pumpkins over the years (all of which had names) - I have three cats - tbosas is my favorite of the thg films - I currently have sixteen books checked out from the public library - I have played approximately six different sports over the course of my life - my favorite ships (off the top of my head) are Madlyn (Maddox x Ashlyn [from hsmtmts T-T]), IvanTill (alnst), and Evajacks (ouabh)
