note: if any of this hurts you, I'm sorry, but I've been hurt by this, so I think people need to see what's happening Let's pretend you see a map you want to join. you read through the rules, and you see one that says "experienced animators only." and, if you're like me, you say "heck, I've been on here for 2 years and have been drawing for almost 5 years, so I think I count." so you fill out the form and wait. and either you don't get responded to (usually meaning a so-called "polite" no) or you get the message "sorry, you're not experienced enough." and they're wrong. because I am experienced. I worked hard for my artstyle!! I animate everyday, and I'm not experienced? no, you're wrong. the answer is I'm not talented. I didn't start drawing and it was amazing from the get-go. I had to work to get what I have, and you don't like it. you think I'm "inexperienced" just because I don't magically have all the drawing abilities you think comes with "experienced." even when I was first on scratch, and I was adjusting my art to digital for the first time, I'd already been drawing for almost 3 years. THREE FREAKING YEARS!! and you have the AUDACITY to tell me I'm not "experienced" enough?? yeah, I can't code or make amazing vector art like @CapitanFluffy, yeah I can't animate motion like @Animatic_Addict, yeah I can't draw humans like @dragontoothless123, but that doesn't mean I'm inexperienced. Map hosts, please choose your words wisely. the person you may have just turned down could have been working on their art/animation for years and are having troubles improving, or maybe they have come a long way and you haven't seen it. if your looking for a certain artstyle or look in the animation, say that, because experience is completely different.
