artist statement: For my project, I chose to make a video game. I connected to The Red Baron, by making the character in the video game a red baron airplane. The song makes me think of the thrills and scares of riding such a plane during wartime. The first half of the song feels like its building the plane and testing it, and the dogfight section of the song is when it is actually used. My project represents that by emphasizing the free feeling you get when you fly a plane, but still incorporating combat aspects just like war. This piece connects to The Many Assassinations of Samir because Samir is waiting at the bottom for you to return.
