Triceratops Horridus ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Triceratops has 2 species by the name "Triceratops": Triceratops Horridus and Triceratops Prorsus. Triceratops Prorsus is the larger species but Horridus is more famous. The main difference in appearance between them is the nasal horn. Prorsus's horn is larger relative to its body. They lived in Late Cretaceous North America alongside Tyrannosaurus Rex and may have been hunted by it. In a fight though, Triceratops was more likely to win (Sorry rex fanboys). There may have been a difference in appearance between males and females like in some birds and some other dinosaurs. They went extinct in the Palaeogene extinction at the end of the Cretaceous.
