So...it's been a hot second since I've really done anything. Admittedly, 2024 was a real good year, it'll make a nice animation reel. But we're almost done with February and I haven't done anything really. Well, you can thank digital art for a major lack of anything. Ever since I got an iPad and Apple pen for Christmas, I've been going crazy with the digital art (I might just make an art dump, not sure why I haven't yet). But with that, animation took a heavy backseat. At least, sprite animation did. Don't get me wrong, sprite animating is still fun, and I still think it's a cool and underrated medium, but it does have some ridiculous limitations. Yes, rigging is a thing, but for the most part, your subjects are limited to whatever costumes you've made for them. Want your hedgehog to do the gogeta soul punisher? Not without the right sprites you don't. But with 2d hand drawn animation, those limits are non existent. So while I still like sprite animation and animating with them, I do want to start working on my 2d animation, especially since I'll actually be able to maybe use that in the future. I'm turning 17 this year, and next year I'm gonna be a fricking a d u l t. I really should start focusing on what I'm going to do after school, or even what I'm gonna do for collage. I definitely have ideas, but none of them are sprite animation. But, that's still not the case for now, so what about all the projects I have for now? First off, just want to say, the Dark Red raid is canceled. Not feeling it, kinda late for a 4 year celebration, etc. As for collabs, I have my tournament opponent, and then my next part for Red Vs Turbo will be my last one. Don't worry though, it'll be a worthy last part. Here's one everyone (including me) forgot about: Red Vs the Legendhogs. No joke, I forgot about this because the second part (or the original second part) got buried underneath all the other projects I was (and am) making. So I've made literally 0 progress on it since I released part 1. However, this is gonna change. I will no longer be gunning for 10 minutes anymore, but I'll get this project done. I may or may not go back and polish up the first part, but that's a big maybe. Rest assured, you'll all get to see Uniqx wreck Red again soon (jk.....or am I?) Then, we have battle island. Tbh, I though after two years of waiting it had lost its hype, but no joke, episode 1 is one of my most popular projects. I will be working on episode 2, and I think I'm gonna have about 7-10 episodes, not nearly as grandiose as episode 1, but still worth the wait. Finally, and the big one: Elemental. Of course, this is not canceled. I don't care if I'm 64 years old and still working on it, this movie is getting done. I'm probably not gonna do movies for some of the other things I have planned for the series though. Another thing is I still don't have a voice actor for Stacy, so tomorrow I'm gonna put up a sign up for that, and pray for once people take me up on my offers. One more thing before I go. I've been on this website for 4 years, 5 this year. I think my time here has about run it's course. Not completely, of course, I'll always check out other projects and make my own little ones, and not right this minute. But I think this is the year I start making my transition away from scratch. It won't happy today, not tomorrow, and maybe not even for a month or two. But after 4 years...it's definitely time for some changes Thank you for attending my Ted Talk
