Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. During this month, Muslims around the world fast and commemorate the first revelation to the Prophet Muhammad according to Muslim belief. Fasting in Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam. Muslims will fast from dawn to dusk - and are expected to abstain from eating, drinking and bad habits.
