Choose a mode, story mode or 1v1 mode. Story mode uses the WASD System, but with a twist. W to jump A to move backwards D to move forward R reloads the flashlight, gaining 10 ammo, and you cannot shoot while reloading. E interacts with utilities (working the electrical box, getting a flashlight, medkit.) Q switches the mode of the flashlight. Get to the end/right of each screen to proceed. 1v1 mode uses a simplified version of the WASD movement system. Use the keybindings WS or up/down arrows to move. Both the D keybind and left arrow can be used to shoot, but you are only able to fire in the middle. 1v1 mode makes it hard to dodge and shoot, adding to the intensity. 1v1 mode is fun for everyone!
The purpose of this video game is to entertain people with our focused audience being on teenagers around the age of 10 to 16, which would be E rated according to esrb.org. “Technological Takedown” is a side scroller shooter game consisting of chapters in an overarching story distributed and coded via Scratch, which is a non-profit and free website founded by the Scratch Foundation. There will be two different game modes, Campaign and 1v1 mode. The focus of the game is to hack and fight against the AI takeover happening in the future by taking the role of Mukuro Hinata, a Japanese soldier. The AI is sentient and dangerous as it was upgraded too heavily and realized that the true cause of earth's problems was humanity itself, and therefore wanted to get rid of it. Players will use a modified flashlight to fire projectile beams of light that deactivate the AI, and then work their way up to defeat and get rid of the ultra robot and end the game. 1v1 mode is simply put, a 1v1 against a friend using the small movement (up and down), and you play as a bot trying to take down the other bot via a modified flashlight.
