Elara was conceived through magic. When Pax was bleeding out after the necromancer cult-leader, Thorn, attacked. Kira swiftly ended him and his army. Despite her own injuries, Kira rushed over and called upon the magic that resides in all dragon's souls. She poured her essence into Pax, doing everything she could to ensure that he lived. While this was happening, some of his essence mixed with her own, creating Elara. However, by doing this, Kira did what any weak dragon can do, she put herself in a death-like slumber as her body healed and regained its strength. This lasted for two weeks, Pax thinking his love was dead the whole time. When she finally woke up, she took a week to get used to being alive again. So it wasn't until after Kira's morning sickness did they learn that she was pregnant. Everything it peaceful throughout Kira's 3-month pregnancy. But, soon enough, instead of laying an egg that would incubate for 3 more months (as it's a 6-month process), Kira ended up giving birth to this darling dragonet at the end of month three. Because she was born under a single full moon, Elara is an empath. Though not a full-fledged mind reader, she can sense feelings and vague thoughts.
