Arrow keys or tap and hold to move the player. Try digging the yellow/blue squares. You'll earn balls and diamonds. When you collect balls, be sure to drop it off to get $. You won't be able to collect more balls when you exceed your capacity unless you drop them off. Be quick because if balls have not been collected, it will disappear. When you drop balls off, it takes a 0.5 second delay to sell between balls. You can go to the market to decrease delay time, increase your capacity, hire workers, increase your worker's capacity, increase ball value and open the enricher which gives you 10x the amount of coins when sell.
