︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵ Q1: What's your favourite genre/genres? A: I'm a sucker for urban fantasy and historical fiction. Q2: Have you ever finished writing a story? A: Not really, at least, none of my creative pieces. I either have so many ideas that I continue writing a story into infinity, or I run out of ideas before the end of chapter one :') Q3: First person POV, second person POV, or third person POV? A: First person and third person limited are my faves. Q4: Do you have a favourite author? If so, who? A: Liz Braswell! (Her Twisted Tales series is *chef's kiss*) Q5: Do you want to be a writer when you're older? A: Possibly. Although, writing is only ONE of my passions, so we'll see how that goes. Q6: Do you have any advice for writers? If so, what is it? A: Inspiration is everywhere. And you don't find inspiration, inspiration finds you. Q7: When it comes to writing, are you a perfectionist? A: Maybe a little. If I don't like the way I worded something, I'll try and fix it until the point of complete and total insanity. /hj Q8: Have you shared a story on scratch before? A: I did once last year. Q9: What's your favourite plot structure? (7 point plot structure, hero's journey plot structure, etc) A: I don't really have one. Q10: What's your inspiration? A: It comes from literally anywhere. Q11: Do you like making graphic novels/comics? A: Nope, but I did back elementary school. Q12: Poetry, or story writing? A: Story writing! Q13: Fiction or non-fiction? A: Fiction Q14: What's your favourite book/series? A: "Island of the Blue Dolphins" by Scott O'Dell is my all-time fave. Q15: Do you believe in writers block? A: I do. I get it pretty frequently. Q16: What about reader's block? A: Never heard of that one. Q17: Do you like putting references in your stories? (references to other books, a movie, songs, etc) A: Absolutely! One of my favorite things is referencing a real-life thing that isn't canonically in the universe I'm focusing on. Usually how it'll go is a character will say something about the real-life thing and the rest of the characters are WAYYYY confused. It's chaos, and I love it :> Q18: Do you like writing chapter books? A: Ye! Q19: Realistic fiction or unrealistic fiction? A: Both Q20: Have you ever written a character based on someone in real life? A: I have. A main character in my current writing project lost a parent like I have and has a similar personality to that of my best friend Casper. Q21: Do you give MBTI personality types to your characters? A: Nope. Don't believe in that stuff. I've taken the test 3 times and got a different result each time. It's a bunch of bull to me. Q22: Writing in a notebook or writing on google docs? A: Usually on Google Docs Q23: What do you think is the best thing for someone to do when they get writers block? A: Immerse themselves in their hyperfixations until ideas arise. (That's what I do. It's almost foolproof.) Q24: When did you realize you wanted to be a writer? A: I dunno Q25: Do you have a lot of OCs? A: Ye, too many to keep track of. Q26: Do you have a lot of stories you are writing? A: Yeah, but it's mostly fanfiction- Q27: What's the most difficult part of planning a story? A: Sequential order. My thoughts tend to be a bit disorganized, and they usually come out that way. It's like a puzzle. Q28: Do you do journaling? A: Occasionally Q29: Do you write in one specific way/theme, or lots of different ways/themes? e.g. fantasy, third person, non-fiction, first person, second person, fiction, etc A: Several Q30: Do you find it hard to write the first chapter/ prologue? A: Nope! (Well, in most cases... ^^;) Q31: Have you drawn your characters before? A: A few times, yes Q32: Have you roleplayed with your characters before? A: Once
Q33: Do you think you take way too long planning what to write instead of actually writing? A: Planning really just happens as I go. Q34: What's your favourite part when editing? A: Adding fun little details about each individual character Q35: What's your least favourite part when editing? A: Finding my accidental conventional grammar mistakes (I'm really big on grammar where it counts) and finding wording I despise Q36: How long have you been writing? A: Since 5th grade :> Q37: Have you tried writing in a new way before? A: A few times, I usually just revert to my personal writing style though. Q38: What, in your opinion, is the most fun theme to write about? (not genre. A theme is like war, coming of age, good vs evil, family, etc) A: I love a good family-oriented theme. Q39: Have you written characters with sad backstories? A: Only a few. Q40: Have you ever written yourself in a story? A: Oh, SO many times- Q41: Do you usually unintentionally make a side character more interesting than a main character? A: Yeah. I've found myself crying-laughing because of a few cases of that happening. Q42: Have you ever written a character as something other than a human? A: Yep! Let's see... Elves, dragon hybrids, even a ghost once. Q43: Have you ever written the main character as the villain before? A: No, but I've considered trying it. (Death Note presented it to me in a way that's incredibly intriguing. Q44: What's your favourite things to put in stories? (things you personally find entertaining to read/write) A: Yep! Q45: Have you written romance before? A: I tried to. (I never finished it :')) Q46: Do you put life lessons in your stories? A: Yes, especially after losing my dad. I've incorporated themes of loss and grief in some of my more recent (in the last 2 years) stories. Q47: What's your favourite character from a book? A: Wendy Darling from Liz Braswell's "Straight on Till Morning" (and specifically THAT Wendy; I don't like the original) Q48: Writing or drawing? A: Writing Q49: Writing or reading? A: Um... How about I DON'T choose? ^^; Q50: Have you written a main character as the complete opposite of you before? A: I can't think of any specific cases, so probably not. ︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶
