It barely could even comprehend this, it was labeled as a mere "defection", a monster, the most dehumanizing terms possible, they were very young children, never even going to school, they never got to learn their ABCs and 123s. the metal monstrocity that manifested out of them was a painful reminder of the abuse that had gone through, a cruel, ableist, cycle.
