@vinshuverse2000 for gradient system and idea (gradients as shade) This works by having a gradient (part transparent and black) on top of the flashlight sprite (black then transparent) so that the black blends with the background of the light sprite. When the black shade hits a different color you can see it, this uses transparent. The flashlight models are nice but saturate things. You can see more in all of the tests. @vinshuverse2000 's version contained a bitmap gradient with no transparency, however it was under the flashlight, which was a nice and simple flashlight using the gradients. The background shaded itself, but without this, I would not have gotten this idea. Also I can't stop writing I'm in the flooooww maaaann yuhhhhhhh The shades my way can also be applied on top of backdrops (press one)
