☄️ CometSunder ☄️ " Τι μυστικά κρατούν τα αστέρια ? " - He/him - Aroace/Pan - 45 moons old - SKYCLAN Personality: - Comet-sunder is a thoughtful cat. But not really thoughtful in terms of sympathy. Thoughtful in terms of storing and manipulating information. He has a good memory. - He has less empathy and sympathy compared to the average cat, but this doesn't mean he pushes others down just for fun. He just tends to focus on stuff he actually cares about. What he cares about is learning about other cats, but this care comes in the form of examination and study rather than creating emotional connections. - Yet in his 3 years, 9 moons, and 24 days of being alive, he has come to realize that creating emotional and genuine connections with other cats is the only way to access information unique to them. Hmm.... it's quite an inconvenience indeed. Likes: - Learning about others - Memory games - Eurasian Bullfinch (favorite Skyclan prey) - European Smelt (Favorite seafood) - Most anything Teal (favorite color) - Learning about herbs (but he doesn't want to be medicine cat *yikes, that'd be stressful*. He just thinks having information about them is helpful.) Dislikes: - Subjects being unwilling to give any information about themselves (distant and aloof cats) - The color yellow (least favorite color) - Squirrels (not least favorite prey per say- but he just doesn't trust them. *"Terrible secrets hide behind their beady little eyes"*) - Unstable subjects (Cats who are unpredictable) Backstory: CometSunder was born on a fishing boat by a cat named "Atalanta". She was a studious and talented cat, always full of passion. When CometSunder was born, she named him "Astrophel" for when he opened his eyes, his gaze was fixed on the night sky. Atalanta and Astrophel spent a lot of time near the docks, hunting fish, and trading for supplies like herbs. Atalanta taught him many things, like Greek, how to sail, how to fish and swim, and even how to use a few herbs that help with traveling on the water. But just around the time he turned 15 moons old, his mother just disappeared while they were sun-bathing on the docks. She left to go hunt for some fish, but didn't specify when she was coming back. So, he waited for her. He waited and soon days turned into nights, nights turned into days, and days turned into moons and moons turned into seasons and seasons turned into a year. After this, he concluded that she was gone. Whether she meant to leave or not was a question he'd never answer. Shortly after, he went off on his own and encountered Skyclan. He'd never seen anything like it. A community of cats upholding ideals to work together and support each other? It was very intriguing to him. So, he asked to join, and became a Skyclan warrior. Fun Facts: - CometSunder has a Greek accent to his voice. He tends to have a bit of difficulty pronouncing "ch" and "sh" sounds, instead replacing it with "ts" sounds and vice-versa. He also has difficulty pronouncing long vowels like "ea", instead simplifying it to "i". But for the most part he's perfected talking English particularly in terms of grammar- but his accent slips through when he's not focusing on what he's saying. - His first language was actually Greek. He only later learned English and started speaking it when he joined Skyclan. He has revoked his life before then. - He thinks there's a possibility of Starclan existing, but the idea of a bunch of dead cats with just hypothesized enlightenment and tremendous amounts of influence and power over living cats is quite frightening and unnerving to him. So, he goes by the rule of, "I'll believe it when I see it." (*he really hopes he does not see it*) - If you asked him to be your mate, he probably wouldn't say no and use it as an excuse to better know you and your secrets, tbh. Not in a malicious manipulative way, just in a sort of.... ".......what are you hiding...?" kind of way. *But he'd probably be very comforted by having someone he is very familiar with* - Every once in a while, he wishes he could go back to the docks to catch some fish. But he's content with the life he leads in Skyclan. Much more stable and interesting. - Speaking of interesting, He also likes to keep track of the tea in Skyclan. Who does this cat like? Who does this cat dislike? Who does this cat have a very tension filled but in a romcom kind of way relationship to? It's all just a big opportunity of study for him. - He mainly hunts for the clan, as he has no knowledge in fighting and relies on his words to get him out of conflict. - If CometSunder had to have a patron god/goddess from Greek mythology it'd definitely be Psyche. or Athena.
