This is a little simulation I threw together in an evening for a history class showing how an idealistic community where wealth is distributed evenly between all members can be ruined by just a few greedy people. The red people are the greedy mean ones. Blue people are normal and will share their wealth. If they turn green they're poor. Poor people will receive goods from less poor people (this is an ideal society after all). The red person abuses this privilege and just takes stuff. This lowers his popularity, and he will eventually turn black, indicating that he's an outcast. When a black dot encounters a green or blue dot he will be exiled and leave the sim. Finally, when the red dot takes things from people, it decreases their happiness. When their happiness becomes low enough, they 'lash out' at people around them. This lowers their popularity and they can eventually become exiled. When there are less than 10 citizens left the citizens gradually start to get less and less happy, causing them to lash out at each other. Press 'P' to pause the sim. Click on a dot to bring up its stats. NOTE: The 'dev hacks' that can be enabled with the 'c' key only work when downloaded. The hacks are 'vshow' to show the parameter variables so that you can change them, and 'vhide' to hide them again. ANOTHER NOTE: It seems that when you click on a sprite to bring up its stats, they tend to sort of end up splattered across the screen. I do know what's causing this, but I have no idea how to fix it.
