Flowers do not directly grow from grass, instead, if you see flowers seemingly coming from grass, it's usually because flower seeds have landed in the grass and germinated there, growing into new plants with flowers, as grass itself does not produce flowers in the way most people think of them; while grasses do technically flower, their blooms are very small and inconspicuous, designed for wind pollination.
