This game is (mostly) based off of Terraria, a 2D open-world game. You can move around using WASD, break/place/use by clicking, switch hotbar slots with 1-0, open/close the inventory with e, and pause with p. In the inventory, you can move things around with space and move the cursor with the arrow keys. This game has over 10000 blocks. As of version 3.8.6: Block World is 100% custom. Custom physics system, rendering and shading system, block interaction system, procedural world generation, text engine, combat system with swords and bows and guns and staffs and bombs and heavily overpowered magical superweapons and so much more, 137 items with custom icons for each one, 37 blocks with varying drops and hardnesses and colors, 33 NPC types with varying levels of interaction, from fighting to trading to wondering around, 95 crafting recipes for all your item needs, 3 dimensions, 1 boss fight, 2 game modes (normal and RPG), a total of 203 custom images for a variety of purposes, 8 sound effects, 2 songs, and a total of over 10000 blocks of code. All of it was 100% made by me. Generative AI was used for ideas and inspiration, but no AI-generated content was used in this project. And after 8 months of development, this game is nowhere near done. Please note: the version you see is likely outdated, as the game is now too large for Scratch to save properly.
