It was two days later. Flurry laid there, still feeling crushed physically when Gecko walked over holding a syringe. He tried to sit up as Gecko smiled. "You think I'm powerless over you? Don't you remember how I threatened you when you were supposed to serve me? I do, and you're going to love it for hours upon hours Flurry." He said while he opened the cell. Flurry tried to get up and fight back but he was too slow. Gecko grabbed him by the horn, pinning his head down he pushed the needle into his shoulder, shallow, just barely past scales. Then he pushed the fluid in, stepping back he laughed. "That was about three times as much as last time. Have fuuuuun" he chuckled as he left. Flurry whimpered quietly, it's effects setting in quickly. Before Flurry could comprehend how much it burned and ached his whole body felt as if scalding hot water were under his skin everywhere. He writhed and squirmed and whimpered but it didn't help. All through the day and night he remained that way. Finally it began to wear off the next day. He groaned laying there still. Gecko returned "Would you like to hear a story Flurry? Or, the truth I should say." Gecko offered him a hare. Flurry reluctantly took it, and began eating as he was starving. "As I saw in your memory you spent some time with an NightWing named Illusion. She told you that she tortured and killed Shadow for ignoring her to the point she was taken to a facility and he didn't notice for so long." Gecko said. Flurry noticed the hare tasted off but didn't have the strength to care. "Well she was half telling the truth. She may have honestly forgotten, her brain blocking out the trauma. Or... maybe she had begged and begged a certain RainWing to use a particular off green liquid and change her memory because it was so painful, she couldn't take it." He continued. Flurry noticed his vision becoming fuzzy and looked down at the hare, noticing it's meat was an off color. Flurry's stomach lurched as he realized it had been injected with something. He looked up and swiftly he vomited, his entire body convulsing as he gasped for breath between convulsions. Gecko smiled "That, what you just finished eating. Was Shadow's creation." Gecko explain. Flurry's head snapped up "What?" He choked out, still feeling queezy and like he would faint. "Yes. He never told you. You notice how here he was always so, so calm? Never worried when I went to fill him with some unlabeled vial? That's because he knew what each one would do, and that none would kill him." Gecko said opening the cell. Flurry didn't fight, too sick to, as Gecko dragged him to the room, strapping him to the table. "Where was I? Ah yes. Shadow didn't only work here for me, no he was smarter than that. He was my equal, my partner in crime. Illusion was one of the subjects. When you got here he was in her old cell so it wouldn't seem suspicious. She was offered freedom, real freedom, but returned just days later begging for me to make her forget just how bad the horrors were but she wanted to keep one thing. Her hate for me and Shadow. So I half listened, only keeping Shadow in her head." He said. "Shadow did die, Illusion found him and did torture and kill him, that part is true. But she knows it for all the wrong reasons. Shadow was a great lab partner, and still is." Gecko smiled as the door opened. Flurry looked up in disbelief at Shadow standing there, smile matching Gecko's own. Shadow walked over "What are we trying first?" He asked "Taking out his digestive tract and seeing how long he'll live without it." Gecko answered calmly setting up the tools. Shadow smiled. Flurry tried to get free, terrified. It had to be a lie! A trick or- or an illusion! Shadow wasn't evil! Shadow would never work with a dragon like Gecko! Right?!?! Yet here he was, standing next to Gecko, over Flurry strapped to a table as they prepared to tear him apart.
