:: Chapter Five, continued :: Iphnie sighed and shook her head again. Vivana was about to guess again, but the Head Advisor held up her hands to stop her. "Well, Vivana," Iphnie said slowly, "you may want to keep an open mind." Vivana raised a brow, starting to become skeptical. But she kept smiling, not too worried. Besides, Iphnie was the Head Advisor to the Queen of the Air Spirits and like a sister to Vivana. What could Iphnie do wrong, especially when it came to partners? "An open mind?" Vivana asked with a tilt of her head. "I have an open mind!" The Queen studied the Head Advisor's face. Iphnie looked nervous and a little fearful. "...How open are we talking?" Vivana asked slowly, crossing her arms. "I already listed a servant and maid… Do you mean a scribe? Commoners? Peasants?" Iphnie sighed again and nodded slowly. "Something like that," she said quietly. Vivana looked at her friend. "So they're not a noble? Or from the palace?" Iphnie shook her head. Vivana tried hard to keep a straight and respectful face. "What could be worse than a peasant, Iphnie, especially when you're someone of your status?" the Queen asked the Head Advisor with a sigh. Iphnie glanced at her fidgeting hands at her stomach, then slowly looked up. "There…is one thing. One specific thing." Vivana narrowed her eyes. She mentally went through the social hierarchy in the Air Spirit Nation. The lowest? Prisoners and beings who committed heinous crimes who would eventually be put to death. But Vivana knew Iphnie knew better than that.
