This is a test. If you want to record press 0 (zero) before the race to record, otherwise, you'll race a recording of me. You don't have to follow everything my recording does, since there are probably faster ways of completing the race. Please note that recordings do not include drifts, boosts, and trails. Drive into the finish line to start. Up arrow to move forward, down arrow to move backward/break. Left and right arrows to steer. X to use boost. Use these to drive through grass and take shortcuts. Z to hop. Hold Z while turning to drift. Complete 3 laps to finish. Share your best times in the comments! Tips: - At the beginning of the race, drive backward, and then drive forward into the finish line. This saves some time, since you can pick up speed before the race starts. - Press Z to hop. Keep holding Z while turning to start a drift. Release the drift to get a temporary boost. The longer you hold your drift, the larger the boost you receive. Boosts from drifts can drive through grass with minor speed loss, but hopping can reduce it. - You can also use Z to take small shortcuts. Airtime can help reduce the amount of speed loss in grass. If you time your hops through the grass well, you can maintain your speed as well as take a shortcut. - In straight paths, avoid turning (steering) to much, since turning is slower than driving straight. Try to find a way to minimize the amount of turning for each turn. - On a turn, try to cut inward as much as possible instead of outward. Wide turns are much slower than sharper turns. This saves an incredible amount of time, just by taking the faster line. - Getting your best record does not take just one round. By using the recording, try different strategies (such as taking different shortcuts) and see if yours is better by looking at the mini map to see how much time you save compared to the recording. Then use that same strategy in the next try.
Best: 41.457 sec (I'm still convinced this is beatable) Comment your best time! Should I create a game out of this engine? Type your suggestions in the comments below. (such as adding more tracks, vehicles, or techniques, or mario-ifying it) Please remix the project and record yourself racing by pressing 0 (zero) at the beginning of the race.
