*-*-*-* PLEASE RUN IN TURBO MODE! *-*-*-* Update 3/26/2026: - Fixed bug when clicking the green flag while the save game string is being displayed, causing save game string list to be unhideable. Thanks @Joeidiot ! Update 3/21/2025: - Fixed game-breaking bug when loading a save game and immediately spawning a bomb that explodes on the next turn. Update 3/19/2025: - Now includes the ability to save & load your game. Come back later if you have made a bunch of starflowers or black pearls! Please note, currently there is no validation of the input save game string. Entering invalid save game string can result in a lot of weirdness Update 3/17/2025: - Now includes custom difficulty, including ability to Undo your last move (super useful!), limit number of colors, and decide if you want bombs. Here is my remake of the classic Hexic HD game from the Xbox 360 console. Use the mouse to highlight a cluster of hexes, then use either the left & right arrows (more intuitive) or the X & A keys (kinda backwards, but that's how the Xbox controller buttons were mapped) to rotate a cluster or flower. Please note that I have only implemented Marathon mode - no Timed or Survival modes yet. But Marathon was by far the most popular mode that people played. The ultimate goal of Marathon mode is to make either a cluster of 3 black pearls or a flower of 6 black pearls surrounding another hex. - To make a black pearl, you must create a flower of star pieces (6 stars around another hex). - To create a star hex, you must create a flower of colored hexes (6 same-color pieces around another hex) There are 7 progressively harder levels, with more colors added, bombs introduced, etc. Level 7 continues indefinitely until you win, a bomb explodes, or you have no more possible moves. *-*-*-* VERSION HISTORY *-*-*-* 1.2.1: - Fixed load bug with bomb timer 1.2.0: - Support for saving & loading game 1.1.1: - Fixed issue where undo button would remain visible and clickable while hexes were dropping, matching, destroying, etc. 1.1.0: - Added custom difficulty, including undo, number of colors and bomb selection 1.0.2: - Fixed issue where bombs were not appearing 1.0.1: - Fixed issue where user could hear highlight moving while on level 1 instructions page - Now allow any keypress or left mouse button press to dismiss splash page 1.0.0 - Initial release *-*-*-* CHEATS! *-*-*-* Click on any hex while holding the following keys: 'B' - Make hex blue 'G' - Make hex green 'M' - Make hex magenta 'O' - Make hex orange 'P' - Make hex purple 'R' - Make hex red 'T' - Make hex turquoise '*' - Make hex star 'v' - Make hex downward black pearl '^' - Make hex upward pointing black pearl '$' - Modifier - hold along with color key to add a bonus star '!' - Modifier - hold along with color key to add a bomb to the hex I hope you enjoy it, and please drop a comment with feedback or to report bugs.
